Trueheart, Sr., Joseph Lewis

Mr. Joseph Lewis Trueheart, Sr. 79 of Draper, Virginia departed this life on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was born June 30, 1938 in Draper to the late Irvin W. Trueheart and Eva Pauline Hall Trueheart. He was employed with Coleman’s Furniture of Pulaski for many years and 25 years with Volvo Corporation. Joseph was a faithful member of Slaughter’s Chapter in Draper where he served in many capacities. He is a 1960 graduate of Christiansburg Institute. He is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Eva Pauline Trueheart, his wife, Rosa Trueheart, brothers, Billy, Garland, George and Thomas Trueheart and grandson, Marcus Dean Trueheart. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons; Joseph (Angie) Trueheart, Jr., of Draper, Clarence Dean (Toni) Trueheart of Pulaski, his sister, Eva D. Trueheart of Draper, grandchildren, Joseph L. Trueheart, III, Cayla Trueheart, Cierra and Christopher Trueheart, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. A special friend, Douglas Slaughter co-worker of 56 years. A funeral service will be held Saturday July 29, 2017 at 11 am at Randolph Ave. United Methodist Church Pulaski.
