Charles Melvin Silcott, 78, of Harrisonburg, VA, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Silcott; sons, Tony and Ronnie and his daughter, Eugena; his brothers, Harvey, Murry, and Arnold; Sister, Edna. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Roger and Dorothy Silcott, Charlie, MJ, and husband Bobby Brooks; daughter Wanda Johnson and daughter-in-law, Lena Silcott; grandchildren, Chelsea, Christy, Tanya, Brianna, Andy, Willow, and Henry and great-grandchild, Stephen; sister Darcus; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Horne Funeral Home with interment to follow at Den Hill Cemetery.
