Brown, Renee Stephanie

Reneé Stephanie Brown, 28, of Prices Fork, Va., died on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Radford, Va., on April 30, 1981. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Reece Bedwell; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Ulysses Brown; maternal great-grandfather, Donald McCoy; maternal greatgrandmother, Ivree Harris; her aunt, Marlene Brown; and two uncles, Kenneth Brown and Herbert Turner. Reneé graduated from Blacksburg High School Class of 2001. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Montgomery Regional Hospital and also a Sunday School teacher at St. Michael Lutheran Church. She is survived by her parents, Mack W. and Karen B. Brown; maternal grandmother, Bee H. Bedwell and Roger Hetrick; paternal great-grandmother, Oeda L. McCoy; sister, Jada Brown; a special niece whom was named after her, Tatiana Renei Villegas Brown, all of Prices Fork; special friend, John Townsend, of Roanoke; also aunts and uncles and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2010, in the St. Michael Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Wertz Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery, McCoy, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 616 A West Main Street, Radford, Va. 24141 or St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2308 Merrimac Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.
