Raiselis, George J.

George J. Raiselis, 88, a longtime resident of Burlington County, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Lewis Gale Hospital in Blacksburg VA.

Born and raised in Roebling and Burlington, he was a graduate of Burlington City High School and lived in Hedding, NJ for 58 years. He worked as a Steam Plant Operator/Fireman/Foreman at the McGuire Air Force Base in Wrightstown NJ. He spent the last two years in Blacksburg VA. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling, playing cards, and driving his truck.

Husband of the late Betty Raiselis and brother of the late Theodora “Tessie” Raiselis, he is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law: Joan and John Shimski of Hollywood, MD and Shirley and Bob Rogers of Blacksburg, VA, two grandchildren: George and Alice Rogers, and two brother/sisters-in-law: Bill and Amelia Adams of Burlington and Elmer and Rose Adams of Beverly, as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private service in Blacksburg VA. Arrangements are under the direction of the McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg VA.
