Dyer, Doris Williams

Doris W. Dyer, age 88, of Blacksburg died, Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

She was born in Gary, Indiana on February 14, 1929 to the late Wade and Teresa Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Dyer.

Mrs. Dyer retired after over 30 years of Public School Teaching. She was an extremely talented seamstress and an avid bridge player.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tom Inzana; four grandchildren, Chris, Jason, Jeannine, and Alexia; two great-grandchildren, Kadin and Evelyn; and her sister, Marlyn McBroom.

Graveside services will be held at Lynhurst Cemetery, Knoxville, TN on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to support Knoxville County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship Fund, c/o Lexa Hooten, 716 Plantation Road, Knoxville, TN 37923.
