She joined Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member until her health declined. She was the head of the kitchen committee for the church. Any function at the church had to be presented to perfection, especially for the Pastors Anniversary. China, glassware, flatware, and tablecloths were to be used for all occasions instead of paper and plastic products. Her motto was to do it right or get out of “Her” kitchen.
