Piatek, Nellie Marie Kytchen

Nellie Marie Kytchen Piatek, 85, of Blacksburg died, Saturday, December 19, 2009 with her family surrounding her. She was born in Montgomery, Virginia on April 19, 1924 to the late Charles Henry (Buster) and Minnie Dove Kytchen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Piatek, two sisters, Ruby Caldwell and Hilda Davis, and two brothers, John Henry Kytchen, and Butch Kytchen. She is survived by her beloved poodle, Smokey; brother-in-law, Robert (Junior) Davis, of Blacksburg; sister-in-law, Annie Tuggle, of Blacksburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call any time after 12 noon Monday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
