Sheppard, Ray Eugene

Ray Eugene Sheppard, 68, of Christiansburg, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on September 16, 1947 to the late Raymond Alexander and Claramont Linkous Sheppard. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Daryl Sheppard and Wayne Sheppard.

He was a Deputy with York County Sheriffs Office.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Phillips; son and daughter-in-law, Timmy and Mechelle Sheppard; his daughter, Melissa Wilkerson Lamb; seven grandchildren, Kimberley, Whitney, Morgan, Madison, Tyler, Dakota, and Shane; six great-grandchildren, Bradlee, Caleb, Jake, Brendan, Sammy, and Lizzy; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Walt Boykins, Debbie and James Martin, Cheryl and Charles Shedd; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
