Sutphin, Annie Leola

Annie Leola “Anna Lee” Sutphin, 84, of Pearisburg, Va., departed this life on Wednesday afternoon, December 9, 2009, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va. Born in Big Springs, Texas, on December 4, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Robert and Audrey Robertson Hefner. Anna Lee was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Sutphin; and a son, Paul Daniel “Danny” Sutphin. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Teddy Sutphin, and Delbert E. and Cathy Sutphin, of Pearisburg, David L. and Norma Sutphin, of Boones Mill, Joseph Charlie Sutphin, of Pearisburg, John Mark Sutphin, of Pearisburg, and Sandra S. and Keith Holliday, of Aiken, S.C.; her 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. before the services.
