McQuown, Elizabeth Sue

Elizabeth Sue (Betty) McQuown, 61, of Riner, Va., passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County.

Elizabeth graduated from Radford College and began her career as a teacher for the Floyd County Public School System until she retired after 30 years of service.

Ms. McQuown was preceded in death by her father, James Bryant McQuown; her mother, Lydia Pauline McQuown; and her brother, James Bryant McQuown Jr. She has one surviving sister, Vicki Pauline McQuown, of Ft. Myers, Fla. Elizabeth deeply loved her family, her extended families, neighbors and friends.

A graveside memorial and interment service will be held at a future date at Knollkreg Memorial Park, Abingdon, Va.
