Criner, Wallace Deward

Wallace Deward (Crow) Criner, 71, of Christiansburg, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Newport, Va., on August 2, 1938, to the late Ernest Brown and Marine Criner. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Criner.

Crow was a longtime active member of the Montgomery County Moose Lodge #1470.

He is survived by his wife, Joe Ann Criner, Christiansburg; twin sons, Timothy Criner, Christiansburg, and Thomas Criner, Pearisburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Randy Jarrells, Dublin; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Doraine Martin, Lois and Clinton Lowe, all of Blacksburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence Douglas and Kathleen Criner, Blacksburg.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23, 2009, at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
