Cox, Lena Gail

Lena Gail Cox, 63, of Narrows, VA, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital.

She was born September 3, 1953 in Giles County the daughter of the late Wesley Bullard & Linnie Evangeline Stoneman Brown. She attended Riverview Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting and loved all animals.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Cox.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters & sons-in-law, Mary Melissa & Vernon Kast and Lena Marie & Mark Kast; her grandchildren, Melissa Ann Simpkins & Dustin Flinchum, Tiffany Kast & Brandon Whittaker, Lindsey Kast & Jacob Cumbee, Logan Kast, Raenee Kast, Courtney Kast and Halee Kast; a special great-grandson that was on the way, which she was very excited about, Dawsen Keith Flinchum; and her special puppy, Princess.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Rev. Shaun Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Staffordsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until service time, 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests financial donations be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
